You were much more vague in the beta forums.
I kind of liked it that way.

RP purposes or not, you're never going to win over people who are tricked by this part of the game. There are many money sinks in this game that provide some kind of benefit to the player. It's not the fact that you loose virtual cash in a video game, it's that the player will feel betrayed or stupid for falling for the trick. If the game had pitfalls like this to begin with, it would feel more of a part of the game. Like paying for repair costs after death. The fact that this aspect of the game came out of left field and seems specifically targeted to trick people is something we haven't encountered in the game before. You can't blame people for being upset and you can't be surprised that people don't care about the RP aspects because they were fooled.
There are plenty of vendors in the game that sell flowers, clothing, and other miscellaneous items that provide no statistical benefit. However, those items are clearly marked and there is no deception involved.

You need to add two more amulets: One that allows communication with guildmates no matter where you are, and another that allows you to whisper to people across the globe.

Can we have a time machine that only moves forward at normal speed?
