If this is true then what was the big hype about the new servers not going to need a the down time every week anymore? I distinctly remember several times where the servers did not get taken down on Tuesdays and at most had a rolling restart.
What happened to this ability to not need to shut the servers down for extended periods that we were told about?
I'm not sure it was "big hype" so much as saying we will do rolling restarts on some weeks but still do maintenance when it's needed.
