Alterac Valley needs a dynamic handicap.

Every since 2.3 was released, Horde have won pretty much every single Battleground, especially Alterac Valley. The thing that disgusts me the most, is the fact that blizzard do nothing about it. Battlegrounds such as the one im in rarely see an Alliance win, even though alot of us are rocking around in pretty decent gear. Due to horde constantly winning, they obtain pretty much all of the PvP gear within one day of work. Whereas for alliance to even get remotely the same gear would take months. The past 3 AV's ive done since posting this message have ended with a whopping total of 62 honor for Alliance, and 637 for horde. And now with the daily quest, Blizzard are making it even faster for Horde to obtain all their PvP gear. Especially season one gear, while alliance will still be prancing around in normal dungeon blues.
Blizzard need to implement a dynamic handicap based on todays current Alliance:Horde win/loss ratio. Make towers cap faster when Alliance have lost 80% of the AV's for that day or something. There is nothing to do during the day at level 70 after dailies have been completed and waiting for tonights raid. Alterac Valley is the only fun choice. It needs balancing for everyone, not one faction.

We can pull actual data on a lot of things, and we're going to be watching AV after the recent changes closely. We may make additional changes, but we want to see how things play out for a bit and everyone adjusts.

Handicaps are generally pretty messy, and it doesn't really fall in line with our general philosophies. Punishing someone for playing better than someone else isn't a lot of fun, we should be rewarding someone for winning, doing well, performing better, etc. The question I guess is how much reward is someone getting, and how much are they not if they don't play well.

That then draws into the conversation of why horde seem to do better in battlegrounds. If you look at the top arena teams you'll see a pretty even mix, it fluctuates here and there but there are battlegroups that have damn near 50/50, or even alliance favored. I think it's safe to say there's something else factoring in outside of any game mechanic or balance. How do you put a marker on that difference, and how can you possibly correct for it? All good questions, all very difficult to perceive accurately and act upon accordingly.
