File "Localization.xml" could not be loaded.

I just clicked the link from the installer to get the 10 free days of the new expansion, "Wrath of the Lich King". I signed in to the website, agreed to the terms, and downloaded the Universal installer to my desktop.

I then ran the "InstallWoW.exe", it downloaded some files and created a shortcut called "World of Warcraft Installer" which points to the location of those files.

Then suddenly the installer crashes with the following error...

Sorry, the installer was unable to start up.
X - The file "Localization.xml" could not be loaded.

Since then I have deleted the downloaded files and re-downloaded them but that did not help. And now, the worst part, I cannot play WoW because when I sign in using the original launcher icon it tells me my account has been upgraded to "Wrath of the Lich King" and I need to download that in order to play.

I would like to just return to normal and hold off on Lich King.

Please help!

Please do not bump old threads. Also this is the PC forum so Mac people are in the wrong place. The fix for PC people is to open Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> toggle Automatically detect settings.
