WotLK Install - Runtime Error! Help please?

"Runtime Error!

Program: C:\DOCUME~1\DANIEL~1\LOCALS~1...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information. "

This message comes up at 44%. I ignored it and it continued to download all the way to 6.5 GB, however, it's only installing up to 44%. It isn't budging.

If I get the entire game dl'd can I install it manually?
Any other ideas?

Hello Lucielora,

These error are usually caused by other programs and Safe mode can usually get by it, unless the game wont install that way. Selective Startup may work if Safe mode is a bit too extreme.

Another program maybe interfering with the installation. Try selective startup to get around this.

For Windows Vista users:

Click Start and in the "Start Search" field type "msconfig" and hit Enter.
In the General tab:

1. Choose Selective Startup
2. Disable (uncheck) Load startup items
3. Click OK and Reboot

Windows XP users:

Click Start and select Run, then type "msconfig" and click OK.
In the General tab:

1. Choose Selective Startup
2. Disable (uncheck) Load startup items
3. Click OK and Reboot

There are some disc specific steps att hat link and there are some that work for both. Skip any disc specific steps such as the copying of the files to the hard drive.
