DPS drop after levelling

Hi all. I was just wondering why my DPS dropped form 1060 at level 83 to 1048.8 as soon as I hit level 84. There was no change to the character other than the level increase.
I was just wondering if this is normal. I just assumed that a level increase would increase overall DPS not reduce it!
