How can you tell, if you were chosen to be in beta? Or where would I look exactly? Would I end up getting an Email from blizzard saying I was chosen to be beta?

Sorry first time being around during beta ;-;

The most immediate method I can think of is to look at the WoW playscreen in your Battle.net Desktop App.

In the dropdown menu labeled "region/account", you're looking for "Alpha: Legion".
