Is there a way to completely mute rhonin?

Every time I go to dalaran to get some tier tokens turned in or buy some transmog gear that damned algalon event goes on every 2 minutes and it gets annoying.

Is there a way to completely mute the event without completely muting all sound in game? And hopefuly blizz will make it so it is muted by default. Can barely stay in the city for more then a minute without this going on. IT GETS ANNOYING.

There was a hotfix from December 10 designed to alleviate that particular concern.

Creatures and NPCs
  • Citizens of Dalaran! Raise your eyes to the skies and observe! Rhonin, Leader of the Kirin Tor, should now be reciting their spoken lines to characters within a much smaller radius in the streets of the city of Dalaran. Note that his text... his text are still worth reading and continue to still be visible to those within the city.
