Doing so will get your character stuck.

The Portal In Ogrimmar to Blasted Lands reports: 'Transfer Aborted: Instance not found"

The portal in Stormwind works, but will instantly cause your character to lag/lock/get stuck - causing 'character not found' issues (See Technical Support)
