Swearing in game question

So i just read a post about swearing in game and why its ban-able. Im just curious as to how this rule applies. I imagine that if i abused someone it could result in a ban, but what if you were to say something like
"*Swear word* no loot again"
and its not directed to anyone, could you get banned for swearing in that term?
