Graphical Differences Between Live and Beta?

I'm not exactly technically savvy, so I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out if there is something specifically causing the following differences in the environment between Live and Beta..

Beta: http://i.imgur.com/PWwWcLQ.jpg

The only difference in graphical settings is the anti-aliasing (Beta) versus multisampling (Live). Would these be responsible, or has some other sort of behind-the-scenes technical change taken place?

Thanks!

The biggest difference here is fog; there's a bug in the current build that increases the amount of fog in some zones, including that one. We'll get that fixed.

To help clarify a bit, we fixed a bug with how fog is generated which inadvertently caused older zones to appear foggier than intended. We are working on getting this corrected.
