Boost to Ninety with Heirlooms

Basically, you lose the heirlooms if you boost a character to level 90. It does not end in the given bags either. I do not know if this is a bug or is for some reason intentional.

Any equipped items are mailed to the character when the boost has completed. Have you checked your mailbox?
