Edwin VanCleef/Knife Juggler wording: Help?

I've already made a post about this in the past, but now I think I need to resubmit to you a confusion I'm having.

Both these cards use the word "play".

If a Harvest Golem were to come into play and die, the Knife Juggler's ability would trigger twice. Once from "playing" the Harvest Golem, and another time when he dies because of the minion that appears. For the sake of consistency, we'll have to consider the 2/1 Damaged Golem to having been "played", at least according to the Knife Juggler's wording.

If you were to play Edwin VanCleef afterwards, would he get +2/+2 or +4/+4 ? Would it only count the Harvest Golem, or the Damaged Golem as well?

A Damaged Golem appearing from the Harvest Golem’s Deathrattle effect does trigger the Knife Juggler. This is also true for the Imp Master summoning an Imp. As Ben mentioned, there will be some wording changes between now and Beta.
