That sure sounds like a visual bug; I’ve found this thread on the US forums from a player reporting the exact same issue.
Apparently if you equip a fist weapon or use the minor glyph of Jab it will display Jab correctly.
We’ve recently added the functionality to report bugs via the in-game customer support portal, If you’d like to test this with a fist weapon and/or the glyph and find out that it's really a bug, you can do so by following this article.
