Beta Realm Maintenance - 8/21/12

Greetings All, the Beta Realms will be coming down shortly for maintenance. I'll be updating this thread with time estimates and information as I receive it.

First time estimate is between 5-7 hours, possibly a bit shorter.

As usual I keep this thread open and relaxed, please still keep it constructive, respectful, and reasonably game-related.

Finally. Please fix the Ledger of Revolting Rituals visual bug so I can actually play my priest again >.<

Yeah that issue should be resolved.

Oh, yes. Weeds in my garden. I have lost more than half my plots now. Would love them back!

they fixed the weeds with the first restart today.

Try again in the new build, if you're still having problems please enter a bug report.

I can speak to the status of some bugs. But in general I'm not the person to ping about balance or design decisions.

How about battle pet quests fixed finally?

We have implemented a lot of fixes to battle pet quests.

Should be less than 2 hours from now.

Hey sapper have to ask why a goblin?

I have always loved the Goblins, going back to the sappers in War2. They bring a really cool element of humor to the Warcraft universe, almost like they've been ripped out of a Chuck Jones cartoon. They get to bend the rules in an interesting technology-as-magic sort of way.

I was so excited when we could finally play them when Cata came out, most of my characters on live are Goblins now.

Yeah I'd say 30-60 minutes, barring any technical issues.

Mostly it's due to the amount of work and oversight the beta pushes requires. It's a much different team than what normal maintenances and patches requires, as such we perform them during our normal work days which is the morning through the evening in PST.

I apologize for the inconvenience but to do it otherwise would require a major restructuring of scheduling for multiple teams across the organization.

Hard to say at this moment, waiting on some last checks. If I say hours it'll be here in minutes if I say minutes it'll be here in hours.

Should be coming up in the next couple minutes, for serious.
