Just got the annual pass

And a day later the patch drops and i can't even play the game now. I have 0 Valor for the week, i won't be able to do the events currently going on and try and get the mount i missed out on last year.

Not going to lie. I am a bit pissed

At what point is it freezing?

When it freezes, does the game show as not responding? Are you able to cancel out of whatever is happening? If left long enough, does the game disconnect? How long have you left it?

Please be detailed in your responses. In order to assist you, we need information.

Thanks for the update. There are a lot of things going on here if you're seeing all that. Lets start with the graphical issues you mentioned.

Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the dxdiag file into your reply.

Thanks for the log. It looks like you're overclocking your CPU a little. Can you reset that to default and then test out the game?

Lets also update the sound drivers on the system to the latest available.

Your processor is running at 2.9GHz but it's designed for 2.80GHz. You mentioned you built the system, you don't remember setting that up?

Also, you mentioned you were seeing graphical issues and lock ups. These are more serious issues than connection problems since they can affect the the entire system stability. After a few updates, hopefully we won't see those stability issues.

Checking for connection issues is the next step. Are you using a wired or wireless connection to the internet? You mentioned disabling your firewall, what kind of firewall are you using?

If you truly believe that then I encourage you to post in the bug report forums. I will mention that there are millions of people who can log in to the game right now and play without issue though.

If however you wish to continue troubleshooting this issue, then you'll need to work with us here. Can you post the trace you ran?

It looks like a lot of things happened in this thread since yesterday. I'm trying to catch up on it, but I'd respectfully request an update on the current situation from you. Lets summarize everything that's happened please.

Key points I've picked out are:
- You have a wired internet connection to a wireless internet service.
- You have random but small latency spikes. Not uncommon with wireless.
- You're seeing graphical issues. Is this only in certain places? Is there a screenshot of the issue?
- You encounter disconnection with certain characters mostly during logon. Does this affect characters randomly? Does it happen more at certain times of the day?
- You're currently reinstalling the game files.
