We will still be AoE nuking heroics in Cata?

Curious to know what you all think about this issue.

Will good players find ways to nuke through heroics just like they did even very early in WotLK, or will these new heroics truly be different?

Personally, based on some comments yesterday from GC which said that early raids will be adjusted for players wearing blues and crafted epics, I think we will be plowing over heroic everything as soon as the 1st wave of raid content is dead and gone.

By tier 12, it seems unlikely that teir 11-lite heroics are going to be very intimidating.

This could all be crazy talk, and I know we don't have hard data, but hell what else are we talking about.

Right. You shouldn't be AE'ing every pull in the Cataclysm version of Naxxramas, at least until the Cataclysm version of Ulduar is available.

Players were wiping in the heroic dungeons more, up until they had all of their easy Naxx loot, at which point they could blast through the heroics.

There will still be some AE pulls. AE pulls are fun and they give you a chance to use some different abilities. But what we want is variety so that you actually stop to think about whether the next pull requires single-target, CC or AE (or some mix) rather than doing the same thing every time.
