Something I was doing on trade and general chat was exchanging ideas about my studies when I was waiting for a dungeon que. I currently am doing research on cyberbullying and wanted to get ideas from others. I got a wave of negative responses and rudeness. I was trying to be upfront and honest about how exchange of ideas allows one to hypothesize and formulate new ideas.
I know WoW is not a place for research but the wave of negative responses got me wondering. Are people naturally more negative over the net, does the fact WoW is a competitive game have anything to do with it, or why do people enjoy trolling?
