Spell / Fix / Talent suggestions

Opening this thread for people who want to contribute constructively with their thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions for new and needed spells you really really think the shaman needs.

Here are some of my own:

Earthquake
2038
Channeled 5min cd

Trembles the ground around you causing 1357 nature damage over 8 secs, slowing enemies by 50% for 10 secs.

Windwalk
14% of total mana
instant 3min cd

Gains invisibility and increased movement speed by 30% for 6 sec, breaking slow and impair movement effects.

Lightning Avatar (form, 41point elemental talent)
25% of total mana
instant

While in this form, gives your party an aura of the Stormlord, increasing your party members spellpenetration by 35.
You recieve 15% less damage from spells.

Static
13% of total mana
channeled

Channels a static electricity causing 843 nature damage over 6 sec.

Rebound (talent 3/3)
Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spellcritical hits has a 33/66/100% chance to cause Rebound, making you regain 1/2/3% mana used each spellcast, lasting 15 secs. stacks 5 times.

Shadow Image
15% of total mana
instant

Your damage spells and melee attacks have a small chance to displace you, causing your next melee attack or damage spell to generate no threat. Lasts 15min.

Fire shield
450 mana
Instant

The caster is surrounded by 3 balls of fire. When a spell, melee or ranged attack hits the caster, the attacker gets a debuff stacking up to three times causing fire damage over 15 secs. Lasts 10 min.
Only one Elemental Shield can be active on the shaman at any one time.

Earthgrab Totem
10% of mana
instant 15 sec cooldown (shared with earthbind totem)

Summons an Earthgrab Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 45 secs that slows the attack speed (25%) of enemies within 10 yards.

Elemental Resilience (talent 3/3, Elemental)

Causes nonperiodic spelldamage to raise resistance against that school of magic by 10/20/30 for 6 secs.

Dreamvision / Astral Projection
100 mana
2 sec cast

Projects your spirit, granting you a dream vision that lets you explore areas that are too dangerous to explore in person. Lasts 30 sec.

Improved Resistance Totems (talent 2/2)

Your Frost, Fire and Nature Resistance Totems also reduces spelldamage done by those schools of magic by 2/4%.

Forked Lightning
870 mana
Instant 20 sec cooldown

Targets in a cone infront of the caster take 368 Nature damage.

Scale the threat generation with the higher ranks of Stoneclaw Totem
Reason: So it won't be considered useless, if someone hits a monster once at lvl 70, stoneclaw totem does not generate enough aggro to take the mob of the lvl 70 who hit.

Reduce the interval tremor totem removes fear, charm and sleep, increase mana cost, give it a cooldown, reduce lasting time.
Reason: Tremor totem is broken, fix it.

Increase Water Breathing to 30 mins
Reason: Warlock's Unending Breath lasts 30 mins. and they don't need a reagent.

Make Water Walking use stacks (10/20?)
Reason: this spell is practicly useless in PvE and PvP.

Increase mana cost on Purge, or make it have a cooldown.
Reason: so people will stop whining.

Reduce the cost of Cure poison and Cure disease spells.
Reason: because they cost the same as Poison Cleansing Totem and Disease Cleansing Totem, only the totems last 2 mins and removes the ailments 23 more times than a single cure spell, and the cleansing totem cleanses the whole party. So correctly, Cure poison cures one target, Poison Cleansing totem can cure 120 poisons, making Cure poison very mana consuming.

Spirit Wolf Totem
780 Mana
Instant 20min cd

Summons a Spirit Wolf Totem that calls forth a Spirit Wolf to aid the caster and his allies. Lasts 2min.
(The spirit wolf would have medium Stm, but better dps and have a higher chance to do a critical strike).
(Uses Air totem).

Endurance Aura (talent 5/5, Enhancement, credited to feind)

The shaman gains Endurance Aura, that makes you and your allies gain +1/2/3/4/5% movement speed and attack speed.

Restorative Aura (talent 5/5, Restoration, credited to feind)

The shaman gains Restorative Aura, allowing 2/4/6/8/10% of your and your allies mana regeneration to continue in combat.

Aura of the Elements (talent 5/5, Elemental, credited to feind)

The shaman gains Aura of the Elements, that makes you and your allies gain +1/2/3/4/5% increased spelldamage equal to your intellect.

Air Shock (credited to Namori)
370 mana
Instant 20 sec cd

Instantly shocks the target with sharp soothing air, causing 393 Nature damage. It also reduces threat by a small amount.

Spirit Link (31point talent 1/1 Restoration, credited to nerfmenerfme)
1027 mana 30 yard range
Instant cast 1min cd

The target's and caster's spirits are linked, making 10% of the damage recieved by one of them be dealt to the other. Only one Spirit Link may be active at a time. (not stackable)

Big Bad Voodoo (credited to Nerfmenerfme)
2365 mana 40 yard range
Channeled 30min cd

Through advance voodoo rituals, makes everyone except the caster immune to all damage for 10 secs.
During the ritual, the caster's armor and resistances is reduced to 0 and takes 25% more damage from all sources. Once used, the targets affected cannot be made invulnerable by Divine Shield, Divine Protection, Blessing of Protection or Big Bad Voodoo for 5min.

Chain Lightning Totem
356 mana
Instant 2min cd
Tools: Air Totem

Summons a Chain Lightning Totem with 100 health at the feet of the caster for 30 sec that repeatedly attacks an enemy within 10 yards dealing 78-91 Nature damage jumping to additional nearby players. Each jump reduces the damage by 40%. Affects 3 total targets.
(interval of the chainlightnings should be like 5 seconds).

Stasis Trap Totem
750 mana
Instant 5min cd
Tools: Air totem

Summons an invisible Stasis Trap Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 45 sec that explodes when enemy targets are within 10 yards of it, slowing their attack, casting and movement speed by 50% for 5 secs.

Ancestral Power (talent 5/5, Enhancement, credited to Hrr)

Increases your maximum Strength by 1/2/3/4/5%.

Improved Weaponbuffs (talent 1/1, Enhancement)

Gives frostbrand weapon a small chance to freeze your enemy inn his place for 1 sec, flametongue weapon a small chance to disorient your enemy for 1 sec. and windfury weapon a small chance free yourself of slow and movement impairing effects. 30 sec cooldown.

Improved Ghost Wolf (2/2, Enhancement)

Reduces the cast time of your Ghost Wolf spell by 2sec. It also gives you a 100% chance to dispel 1 slow or movement impairing effect.

People always post ideas and suggestions and they have been doing so for more than 3 weeks, but here we have a thread that has been created with the purpose of ignoring all the complaints and the QQ and instead try to constructively gather thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions for ways to address the concerns many people have with the Shaman class.

A constructive thread without angry complaints and QQ is much easier to read and to gather feedback from, and that is most surely only a good thing.

Now please try to stay constructive and please refrain from derailing this thread any further.

Just want to say thanks for the feedback you have posted in this thread... Lots of reading and noting down to do :-)

I have a small request though:
It would be appreciated if you could please try keep the posted feedback short and to the point. That way it is much easier to read and get an overview of what it is you are saying, which in turn then makes it easier to gather and forward your feedback.

The huge essays that some of you have posted are of course very informative and insightful reading, so thanks to those of you who have taken the time to write such feedback. :-)
