Why do people say 90% of players don't work?

I mean, you have to pay for WoW right? I'm 20 and their is no way in hell my mother is going to pay for my subcription, nor did she pay for my 1200$ laptop.

This thread is venturing into weird topics and I don't suspect it has good places to go.

Fact of the matter is people don't say 90% of players don't work. That would be silly. Maybe someone did once. If 90% of players didn't work (or at least weren't in school) raid times wouldn't be after 6pm, and realm populations wouldn't spike and peak directly after work/school hours.
