The question is, is Naxx possibly the biggest waste of resources in the history of WoW or even Blizzard?
You have to consider the vast amount of time and detail spent designing the dungeon versus the ridiculously small portion that will ever see the most or any of the instance much less Kel.
You also have to consider the amount of time, money, consumables spent, and effort for gear that will mostly be replaced within like a month of TBC coming out(assuming hardcore raider=hardcore leveler). Was it worth it? Would Blizz have been better served coing up with a less consumable intensive and smaller instance similar to AQ, that has 2 bosses that even many Naxx guilds havent spent much time on?
My perosnal opinion is yes, Naxx was an overly bloated project given the timeline leading up to the expansions release and I'd imagine the execs at WoW and Blizz in general will hopefully not make the same mistake of spending such an incredible amount of time catering to an incredibly small portion of their player base.
