I am afraid that this will not cheer you up, but I don't think you should expect to ever see this emote removed.

But there is no need to despair because you have other options available. Add-ons have been created to help those people who find this emote inappropriate, offensive and insulting. I don't know about that... I have met my fair share of NE hunters who have not been afraid of using their /spit macro frequently :-)
