Deathknight, why not Paladin tree?

Since Blizzard has taken the Preist, a Holy Healer, cloth wearing class and given it an evil damage dealing tree ( Shadow ) and taken the Paladin, a Holy Melee, plate wearing class and stripped it of any damage dealing at all, why not just turn the Ret tree into the Deathknight? In other words the Priest Shadow tree equivalant.

Just a thought. I hate my pally now and when I hit 60 I never play him anymore and leveling him was a pain in my buttocks.

Doing it this way would really limit the number of people who could play the first hero class. Instead we want it to be more open for people who are interested to try out as it should be a lot of fun. Plus, if it was a talent tree, resetting your points and turning into a non-Death Knight any day of the week would be strange.
