There wasn't even such a thing as America in medieval times.
Therefor we, Europeans, should see some of our ancient traditions in the virtual world.
If I remember correctly the French already got their 14th of July celebration virtualized this year, and the Germans kinda had their Munich Beerfestival.
Perhaps next year it's time for the very large population of Dutchmen in Azeroth to be recognized!
Now the time-honored Dutch tradition of Saint Nicolas-day, or Sinterklaas as we call it in Dutch, would make a perfect addition to the wide variety of holidays celebrated in WOW. The tradition, in which the ancient bishop Nicolas and his uncountable helpers, the Black Petes, give gifts to children lies at the very roots of the American christmas tradition, and it's Santa Claus, and should be recognized as such.
In 2008 I would like to see Sinterklaas riding on the roofs of Azeroth!
Who's with me?
