Why are we always the attackers?

Why it has to be always us who choose when battles are fought and not those supposed big threats to the world?

Why it's us players who are the aggressors crashing down doors into monsters' homes and murder them without mercy? Even taking group pictures as souvenirs with the victim's body lying there.. It's sick.

When are the horrors actually attacks US and not other way around?

I don't give a crap about game mechanics. If there are such dangerous monsters out there, then they better attack us or not be considered dangerous anymore.

Only when kiting big monsters into cities there have been some fake feeling of "attack" against us.

In WotLK you should find that things are a little more vigorous than what you are used to now. Many cities and settlements are constantly threatened and attacked by enemy hordes and monsters. For an example you will find that Valgarde in Howling Fjord is under a constant Vrykul invasion, and that Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra is under siege by the Nerubians.

In both cases you will see the Alliance and Horde forces fighting to push back the enemy invaders, and players who choose to actively take part of these battles will have a chance to be nicely rewarded with quest items that will drop from some of the elite mobs that will be a part of the battles from time to time.
