Khaleb,

These types of errors usually indicate some kind of file corruption. Try running the repair tool for the game.

The Repair.exe should be located in your World of Warcraft directory.

Khaleb,

Sorry about the wait, our phone queue can get a bit long at times. We do try to get to each call as quickly as possible though.

How did you reinstall? Did you use the online installer or did you use an installation disk? If you used a disk, which disk?

When logging in you mentioned everything disappears. Does your screen go black? Or do you still see the moving background (Deathwing)?

What security programs are you using on your system?

Khaleb,

I see. After installing the game and trying to log in, the game client closes suddenly and you're back at the desktop.

This sounds like a security issue.

Try selective startup to get around this. Please be aware this mode will disable any security programs you may have running so refrain from doing other things while in this mode.

Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter 'R'. In the Run field type "msconfig" and hit Enter.
In the General tab:

1. Choose Selective Startup
2. Disable (uncheck) Load startup items
3. Click OK and Reboot

To undo selective startup, just recheck Load startup items.

Actually, thanks for the update Valinore. Formatting the system changes things.

Was Comodo installed again on the system after it was reformatted? If so, lets remove it temporarily just to test the game connection.

I'd also like to get some more system information on the computer. You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the dxdiag file (down to the "DirectX Components" section for XP, down to the "DirectShow Filters" section for Vista) into your reply.

Khaleb,

Communicating on a forum can be difficult sometimes. I apologize if there's something I've missed.

I will still need more information regarding your system to help isolate this issue. Can you post the full DxDiag information?
