Whats the longest WoW friendship you've had?

Hey everyone!

I was looking through social media today and I got messaged by a friend and we were just chatting. I got to thinking about how we'd met and I realised we'd met on WoW all the way back in WOTLK (8 years ago). I had just joined the game as a human priest and I wanted to be a guild master, so I wondered around elwynn forest giving people kittens asking them to join my guild. It worked and I got a 20 man strong guild in a day or two. Some were young kids and probably don't even remember me now, but others were adults older than me and for those who did add me on social media it's be lovely watching their lives progress (grandkids etc).

I also met my partner in trade chat in wotlk and we've been together for 7 years now and have moved cross country to be together!

So, what kind of long term friendships have you had on WoW?

This is great to see so many long friendships/partners originating from similar interests! I've met many people in World of Warcraft, I unfortunately lost touch with some from the Burning Crusade, but I still speak with many of the folks I've met from arena teammates and guilds going all the way back to Wrath of the Lich King!

It's always rather fantastic seeing how many long-term friendships World of Warcraft has inspired! I still talk to a few friends from back in 2006 rather regularly, it's been interesting to see us all evolve through different phases of life but still maintain those connections, and I'm thrilled to see many of you do the same! :D

I was first invited to join WoW by a friend of mine, and joined their guild many years ago. In that guild I met many people I now call good friends!
I still keep in touch with many of the folks and cherish their friendship, both in-and-out of game.

I'd always encourage anyone seeking to meet folks and make new friends to explore the different guilds on their server. It can be marvellous to find one that suits your playstyle or personality, and is likely to hold fellow players that will connect with you :)
