removing follower equipments

Hey fellas, so I have recently hit my Shade of Akama to Artifact quality, meaning that all 3 equipment slots are now unlocked. Before that he was my bodyguard so I have been using Curio of Abundant Happiness and Pouch of Wonder. Now that the 3rd slot is open, I would like to use some of my equipments suited better for sending him to missions, but I need to remove the first two equipments otherwise they will be wasted on missions and Akama will be severely less effective. Any thoughts? Is there a way to remove his equipments?

Champion equipment items can be replaced by using a new equipment item from your bags, and placing it over the old one that you don't want any more. It's not possible to keep or re-use the old item though - so plan carefully!

Swapping a champion from a bodyguard role to a mission role can involve a lot of planning and optimization! But it sure feels nice to have a well-oiled class hall machine working for you after doing some switching and swapping :)
