Unfortunately, it's relevant (to some people) due to others still not quite understanding that one of the strengths of Discipline is the ability to mitigate damage, not just heal it. More people are beginning to understand this, but there are others that focus only on effective healing and aren't looking at the larger picture. I can understand people looking for a way to show others how their additional abilities are of benefit to their group or raid since it's not something easily measured. It just seems unfortunate that you'd have to.

To answer someone that asked (sorry I didn't answer sooner), I only posted my own thoughts. Not an official Blizzard stance.

I can understand the use of the meters, but at the same time, do believe there is still some continued misconception of the strength of a disc priest in PvE . PvP, most people feel comfortable with their abilities.
