PLEASE stop making illconsidered changes
Listen to the damn paladin community before making stupid changes like the one made with Vengeance and Judgements of the Wise.

Ret pallys were told that their mana issues would be resolved in WOTLK.

-Result: Class changes were fantastic, mana was no longer an issue.

Gear normalisation occurred, meaning that Ret pallys can wear warrior plate

-Result: Lack of +int made no difference, because of the addition to JotW

People complained about Ret pally burst damage

-Result: Blizz nerfed Vengeance and broke judgements completely

Blizz nerfed JotW

-Result:

The changes to JotW are just plain bloody stupid, whoever came up with the idea should be slapped upside the head.

JotW is now pretty much a complete waste of talent points. The ret pally has the lowest mana pool therefore gets the least benefit from this talent.

The main problem this entire time has been our burst damage, this has been acknowledged.
Nerfing Vengeance affects our SUSTAINED damage rather than our burst damage.

The mana returns from JotW was a bit OP BECAUSE of our burst damage!

Revert the changes to JotW, fix the burst damage and we're no longer OP....its really not that difficult.

Normal judgements are fine, I was getting around 3k crits... not overpowered.

My suggestions, which I think most ret pallys would agree with:

1) Revert the change to JotW and Vengeance
2) Remove the double-damage on Judgement of Command and replace it with something else.
I'm sure the paladin community would be more than happy to help you with this.

My idea for Judgement of Command would be to make it a spell interrupt.

SoComm IS our dps seal and the one most likely to be used in PvE and PvP. With this being the case, we will pretty much always be using it. Therefore, having an interrupt every 8 seconds is not overpowered...given that kick and pummel have a similiar cooldown and if I remember correctly, they dont have a global cooldown.

Whomever came up with the ideas for the most recent paladin changes clearly has no idea.... given that we're here to give you feedback, why not utilise us to PROPOSE changes first and those whom have a great deal of experience can give you feedback on it beforehand?

This would mean that if a change was proposed and got shot down in flames (as JotW would have been) you would still have people testing the content without having to wait another week or more for a patch.

Since judgements got broken, I've only logged onto the beta for about 15 minutes in total, because my paladin was the only toon that I wanted to level on the beta.

....now I dont think its too likely that I will continue beta testing this

Q u o t e:
The purpose in a beta is to provide feedback... this is what we are doing, unfortunately though Blizzard is NOT listening to us.

We do listen and believe it or not, we read every post. We don't always agree with every suggestion, and in any case, game design by consensus or vote often doesn't lead to strong designs. Feedback is always, always, always appreciated, and it's not ignored even when it's negative (though of course we are less likely to respond to downright hostile or beligerent posts). But I don't want to give the impression that anything is up for vote or petition.

When we respond to seemingly fluff posts, honestly it's because that's an easy thing to do. We don't have to obsess about every word or nuance lest we give someone the wrong idea. I would post a hundred times more a day if I could write in a more casual, stream-of-consciousness manner. :) C'est la vie.

We haven't done much work on mana generation or sustainability in part because we were working on the massive buff changes and the mana battery mechanics in general. While managing your mana is something we want you to have to consider (else why have mana at all?), ideally we don't want to balance a class around "well this guy can do a lot but runs out of mana really fast." That's not a fun mechanic.
