Attn Ghostcrawler: Time for that discussion?
Ghostcrawler, on 8/20 you said :

Now I'm not saying pets are already too tough, just that we don't want to get them that way, which is why we haven't gone the resilience route yet. But I would be interested in hearing more discussion about how much more health a pet would need to feel like they weren't getting one-shotted. Alternately, maybe talents that affected chance to be crit (or granted something on being crit) would be more appropriate. If in the end you think resilience is the only thing that will keep the pet alive, let us know that too.

We have made statements on this issue all over the forum since then and have yet to hear anything from you on this topic. A topic VERY important to us hunters and dear to our pvp hearts!

I challenge you to open up the communication again on this topic.

Please notice threads such as:

While not all threads above were directed at pvp surviability, the topics headed in that direction with fair discussion on the player/hunter end. Isnt it time we got some response? It has been 15 days and 2 builds later. You are obviously getting ready for PTR in the near future which is an indication our pleas have gone to the "no response" file.

We're paying attention to it. How easy or hard it is to kill the pet is a very important dial to get tuned right. We're trying to figure out if pet hit points are high enough, which I referenced in another thread (so post them there, not here).
