mmo champion has gc telling us the hit penalty on TG was reduced to 5% but the patch notes doesnt state that anywhere. Whats up with that?

I'm almost positive it's a -5% penalty for 3.0.3. I am not certain how non-Blizzard sites update their data and we don't fact check them.

We've also been discussing just getting rid of the penalty completely (though this will not be in for 3.0.3, if in fact we do it at all). At 5% it just feels like a dumb penalty, not something you really have to itemize around. This would make Titan's Grip the most overpowered talent in the history of WoW, and doubtless we would be for years having to deal with community questions about how none of their talents provide the 20% dps increase (or whatever it turns out to be) of TG.

Doesn't describing it as 'overpowered' indicate that you probably should leave the penalty on, or even increase it?

We still think 12% is the appropriate penalty to make the talent balanced. But when we found Fury's dps to be low, the penalty was an easy thing to change to bring Fury's dps up to par. A 5% penalty isn't a meaningful penalty though, it's more of an annoyance for the sake of having a penalty, so my point was when we reduced it from 12% to 5% we should have just reduced it to zero.
