Rune Strike:
Feels kind of weak? It does weapon damage (not listed character sheet damage), so it doesn't benefit from attack power or buffs or anything.

Not sure it's really worth the RP or GCD like this.

It sounds like the data is older than I thought. It should be off the GCD and any melee ability should benefit from AP and other melee stats.

It's a fun ability.

There are two stages in designing something like a class. First you come up with the abilities, then you tweak the numbers. You could make a class with one button that could hit constantly for phenomenal damage, but it would probably be pretty boring to play.

When we like the basic rotation and abilities, then we'll get the numbers (for all classes) where they need to be. I have no idea if DKs do too much damage. They were in a few tests we did, but those could easily have been from bugs. They feel to me like they do too much damage, but you can't really balance numbers just by feel.

If you did that, you would not have much runic power for other abilities. I suppose that is a viable way to play though.
