So i did eydis and fjola today (thursday) and heres some feedback and how we pugged them down,if you did them yourself whats your thought on the encounter?
my thoughts so far;
i think Eydis Darkbane and Fjola Lightbane are way too easy even if the one i did is only 10 man. the globes that spawn are nice but the buffs aren't really needed at the moment; heck i didn't even use elemental mastery, totems, flametongue weapon and bloodlust(heroism) on my shaman (silla).
in my oppinion the buff should be downscaled or there should be some kind of punishment other then the occasional AOE. it could be a good idea to give them both a shield when 1 uses the skill and depending on the boss that uses the shield spell you then need to switch to that element to break it down and to continue dpsing.
This would add way more emphasis on using the two elements because all your doing now is dodging the wrong globes and picking up the right ones. Even if you get hit by a wrong one now it doesn't really matter. At the moment though it's something you would do like karazhan or Zul'aman, challenging to learn and easy to finish.
we downed them at the 4th try (sorry no screenshot DOH !) or so and it didn't really take that long to figure out (or maybe we were just lucky).
spoiler alert now if you don't wanna know the tacs then dont read any further
What we did was put half the group up with a light (de)buff and the other half with the shadow one. the tanks switched (de)buff when either a light globe or shadow globe came near to their respective element while standing in the middle between both buff portals. The twins then cast their first raid wide AOE, before that we all switched to dark since it was the dark one doing the AOE and everyone absorbed it. Same goes for the light AOE.
they then used a shield on one so we switched target and buff since the same buff lowers your damage on the same boss , for example if you got a light buff you need to damage the shadow one other wise your damage gets lowered.
while doing this we all absorbed the orbs for the increased buff; note you need to grab the same element orb as your debuff otherwise you get hit for around 10 k. we kept this up for 5 minutes or so and got them down with only 2-3 people dying.
Hope this helps some of you and hope they get a bit tougher.
EDIT: Typos doh!
