We have some good news. The Exiled Mothers of Gnomeregan have been feverishly working on breeding a new and larger team of server gnomes -- five times more than our previous army. Character Copy for live characters and premades will be speedier from this point on, because of their tireless generousity. Rejoice!

I'm unsure how the news that your copy will be done faster now is such bad news. It doesn't matter where in the queue they are, they are now copying faster. It doesn't matter how big the queue is, or how many characters are added after yours, it runs at the same speed unless we increase it as we just did.
