When a player changes the name of a character, it is possible that the race flag in the combat log GUID is not updated, should a character with the new name have existed in the past on the opposing faction:
Steps to replicate:
1) Create a Cow Warrior called ‘HordeDude’
2) Rename the character to something else (doesn’t matter what)
3) Create a Human Warrior called “AllianceDude”
4) Rename “AllianceDude” to “HordeDude”
5) Record the combat log and check the GUID
6) The Human Warrior is now being picked up as a Cow Warrior
