I would like to hop on the PTR and try out the Icecrown 5-man dungeons, but have recently read on other sources that the pre-made characters on the PTR are effectively geared fom the Trial of Grand Crusader.

Will there be pre-made characters (or pre-made gear) made available to try these 5-man instances with gear more aligned with what the instance is tuned for?

I would surmise these dungeons do not require fully geared tier 9.5 (or 8.5) characters in the party, and overgearing is greatly easing the difficulty of running these instances.

I am what you would call a more "casual" player. I don't typically raid unless it's a short raid and I happen to be on at the time. Most of my gear comes from badge rewards and heroic instances. I'd be more than happy to test out the instance, provided I can go in adequately geared (not overgeared) and provide some feedback.
