I started seeing this on the most recent retail build and was hoping it'd be fixed on PTR, but that isn't the case. I'm hoping I can draw attention to the issue while the new build is still cooking on the PTR.
The issues it that framerates on Macs with 8800 GS cards have taken a nosedive with the latest retail build. Scenes that used to run at 60 fps are down to about 30. Scenes that were at 30 are barely 5 fps. This was around the time framerates were improved on Macs using 7xxx series cards -- maybe they're interrelated.
Full technical details and what I've tried are here: http://forums.worldo fwarcraft.com/thread. html?topicId=19377970 136&sid=1
This issue *does impact* the PTR -- I've lost anywhere between 20-30 fps on average. Dalaran, for example, has gone from 30 fps or so to 5 fps. The Mac tech support say they're looking into it, but it doesn't look like PTR has seen any fixes.
