[Question] Is the 1.24 GB size correct?
Hi...

I've been on the other PTR testing for 3.2, so I believe my PTR is patched accordingly. There for, the PTR Patch process from 3.2 for 3.2.2 should be another 1.24 gb, considering the changes aren't that huge to gor for such a minor patch?

Q u o t e:

The thing is I already installed the 3.2 patch on PTR. Does it really need to DL everything again?

Yes.

The initial patch for PTR's is setup to patch clients to the first PTR build from any of several points. So someone installing the PTR for the first time downloads the same patch as someone with a PTR build from the previous PTR cycle.

I normally advise that testers install the PTR fresh for each testing phase (read: patch cycle).

The patch size isn't going to change, so you'll need to download it if you intend to participate in the 3.2.2 PTR.

Re: [Question] Is the 1.24 GB size correct?
The main reason is efficiency in getting the patch ready to launch the PTR. Doing the initial PTR patch this way allows us to get the PTR live faster so that people can get logged in. We have tried several ways in the past for launching and maintaining PTR clients, and this has proved to be the most efficient and provides the most consistent results.
