Don't refer me to the FAQ. :s

I can't install the PTR patch due to the "Waiting for files to close" error. This error pops up the instant the patch starts attempting to install; not one bit of data is written before it starts blinking this at me.

Running the .exe file directly from C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft (clearly this is on Vista) as is recommended in the sticky FAQ results in the SAME thing. Deleting this file and redownloading altogether produces the same results. My husband is having the same problem on a different computer as well.
