The current patch note reads:
Players will now be able to queue for battlegrounds from any location. Leaving a battleground will return you to the location from which you entered.
I don't think that note is 100% accurate. I think it should be changed to something like:
Players will now be able to queue for battlegrounds from almost any location. Leaving a battleground will return you to the location from which you entered. Players who are already inside a battleground cannot queue for another battleground.
(I'm sure there's a way to word that better.)
