On a test dummy today i was frequently getting "A more powerful spell is already activated" when trying to refresh Rend. Is this intended because it seemed like it was hit or miss as to if I could refresh it or not without the message. I have trauma which makes me think that the rend currently on the target may still benefit from trauma even if trauma has worn off and the rend is still going, therefor a new rend would be doing less damage. anyone know?

When you put up the first rend, were you under the effects of a buff that would have increased the damage of rend (AP trinket)? If that is so, and the next rend you are trying to put up is not going to tick for more damage, then this error will show up. Many dots and bleeds act in this way.
