Please note this is for Build 9658 - I haven't had a chance to test this with Build 9684 since the servers are currently down.
Currently cleave is (was?) swapping auto attack to the secondary target, and is making it unable to resume auto attacks on your initial target without deselecting and re-right-clicking. I've only done minimal testing (And only on target dummies - Specifically the Heroic Training dummy and the adjacent Grandmaster's training Dummies), but it currently isn't happening on live under the same circumstances.
It doesn't swap your target to the secondary target, just your auto attacks, you retain your initial target as your selected target.
I'll try do some testing once the servers come back up to verify that it can still be replicated, and if so, gather some further details if needed and update this post with them.
