In testing Ignis the Furnace Master tonight lifebloom was only returning mana a fraction of the time. I haven't figured out all of the circumstances as to why yet, but one of them is if I get a clearcast on the final application before the bloom it doesn't return anything.
There were other circumstances where I didn't gain mana without any clearcasts but could not come to a conclusion of the situation.
