I recently downloaded and installed the patch. It's kind of neat playing in the test realm, not something I've done before with WoW.
I spent a lot of time farming for mats and making gold to eventually make my chopper. It was awesome when it was finally complete and I was able to ride. It has some features which make it unlike anything else. Not only is the chopper incredible cool looking, and of course fun to ride, it also is neat having such a uniquely featured mount.
My very first observation in the public test realm is the unique distinguishing features of the chopper no longer exist. It now removes the aspect of the pack buff and also takes fall damage, it is now a common epic ground mount (I haven't tried yet, but it would not surprise me if it no longer holds passenger). Obviously the bike itself is still wickedly cool, but it saddens me to loose these great features on an item I spent an extreme amount of time acquiring.
I hope it's just an oversight or defect in PTR.
