Hope to pick some of your techie brains, I know there is a recent thread about this, but that mentioned .exe files and wowtest folders and files which I dont have on my mac.
I downloaded the ptr patch from the wow website directly where I copied across my characters. It created a folder in my worldofwarcraft folder called World of Warcraft Public Test (woot ;) )
It then proceeded to download what I thought was a new launcher and patch and I can now click on a brand new shiny green icon in that folder worldofwarcraft (test on the icon), or a new launcher. I have tried both, I get the log in screen :), they get the text saying need to download a patch a some percentage then it exits wow. Then the patch downloader screen comes up, but no play, download not authorised it says :(.
Wow-0.20-enGB-download is a new icon I have in my wow public test folder now, but no go. The file it is trying to download is wow-0.2.0.enGB-patch.app
Any help, I have deleted this folder and tried to reinstall everything directly from the correct site, but no go, if theres any chance of a BLUE also adding to this, that would be ace, as the question wasnt answered in the last thread about this. It seems it is downloading a old patch, but I have downloaded it from this website, twice.
