We've all heard of the legendary GM island. Yesterday I came accross one in the deep ocean south of the coast of Tanaris. I was out finishing exploration achievements and when I finished Tanaris, I was on the large beach in the far south. Way out accross the water I saw the shape of a landmass.
Since I've successfully ridden my mount from Teldrasil to Darkshore, I decided to try this one too. I rode south and hit the fatigue zone and by the time I hit clear water again I was at about 1/4 fatigue left. What I found was a pair of small islands with a goblin drilling rig between them. Several level 45 mobs wandered about too.
Now,
...a mysterious island that you can only get too now that we can ride mounts over water.
...no flight paths go anywhere near it.
...it's so far south it is off the world map.
could this be GM island?
