For the past 2 days i'm working on the World Explorer, and today i got to Wetlands.

So here i am heading to Grim Batol and on my way i see a Red Whelp. I remember that those drop a pet and think to myself "Yeah right" and attack it.
And there it was [Tiny Crimson Whelpling]. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I checked WoWhead and it says it has a 0.3% drop chance so i should consider myself very lucky. As my char was dismounting i kept thinking "Imagine if it drops" and "Why the hell am i wasting time". It turns out it wasn't a time waste after all.

I just wanted to share this with you guys.

Real tanks wear leather.

I acquired all four whelpings myself recently. I believe I had about 800 kills for the black one, 2500 for the green one, 700 for the blue one, and 1200 for the red one. Made a few thousand gold too, skinning all but the red ones and selling the leather and hide on the auction house.

I'm still going for them, albeit after losing the farming contest to the undead blue dude above.

Green was 1,000+.
Black was much less than 100.
Blue was around 100.
Red continues to evade my backpack.

Chuck, Muckbreath...etc are a bit dopey and less able to avoid the hook. Especially Toothy, I mean, if he visited a dentist a bit more often he'd be a bit less of an easy catch.

Actually got one while doing the Dream Dust in the Swamp quest on one of my old characters. Going price was only 250g at the time, so I kept it. I don't play that character anymore, unfortunately.
